Suppers are casual gatherings where new ideas and stimulating conversation are the main fare at interesting restaurants. The guest speaker leads an informal discussion based on their work or topic of interest. Reservations are open to current Harvard Club of Georgia members and their guests on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendance is limited to 12 people so that the conversation is more personal and happens around the dinner table. Purchasing a $15.00 ticket reserves your seat at the table and contributes towards the guest speaker's meal. Each attendee orders their own meal and is responsible for his/her check.

Sam Tsemberis is a clinical-community psychologist who developed the “Housing First” model.  He serves as President/CEO of the Pathways Housing First Institute and on the faculty Department of Psychiatry, New York Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia University Medical Center.  Dr. Tsemberis also Executive Director of the VA-UCLA Center of Excellence for Training and Research at the Greater Los Angeles VA.

Housing First, the program he developed is now implemented across the United States, Canada, the EU, and New Zealand and is incorporated in national policies on homelessness.  Dr. Tsemberis has published numerous articles and book chapters and two books: Housing First by Hazelden Publishing, and with Drs. Padgett and Henwood, Housing First by Oxford University Press.

He has received recognition for his work including the American Psychiatric Association’s Gold Award for Community Mental Health Programs and the Distinguished Contribution to Independent Practice Award from the American Psychological Association.
