Poetry and the American Civil War with Professor Elisa New and Harvard President Drew Gilpin Faust

Our HarvardX discussion group continues with its second session on Monday April 14th from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Manuel's Tavern (in the North Avenue room). The topic is Poetry and the American Civil War, and the video segment for this module features Professor Elisa New and special guest President Drew Gilpin Faust, a historian of the Civil War and the American South.  This segment will examine the American Civil War through Walt Whitman’s poetry. Please watch the video segment before arriving for the discussion group.
