Change is in the air! And what better way to kick off the Harvard Club of Georgia program year than with a party?

Our Club's Annual Picnic enjoys a long tradition, and this year we're pulling together the best parts and putting a new twist on them ---

Will there be swimming?
You bet! Adults and kids welcome. Lifeguard provided.

How about entertainment?
Here's our headliner: fellow alum and recording artist Ashley Filip Hoffman will be performing live! Listen to a few of her tracks here: http://ashleyfilip.com

Food? Drink?
You bet! And, you bet! Suggestions welcome.

Where will it be held?
At the home of incoming president Cathy Huyghe, located in Buckhead just off West Paces Ferry Road.

Anything to share about programming for the coming year?
Tons. Here's a preview... Community service partnership with KIPP schools (Knowledge Is Power Program—a public charter school—141 KIPP schools nationally, 7 in Atlanta) and the HBS Club of Atlanta. Sunday Suppers already scheduled with the GM of Coca-Cola's EKOCENTER project and the CEO of the new National Center for Civil and Human Rights. Preview screening of an HBO Film (Private Violence, a documentary about domestic violence in America), in partnership with Emory's Center for Women. And a cooking class focusing on healthy southern Italian cooking, streamed all the way from Puglia. And we're just getting started...

AND A VERY SPECIAL OPEN INVITATION TO ALUMNI ARTISTS:
In the spirit of Ashley Filip's creative performance, we'd like to invite fellow alumni artists to exhibit their work during the event. Call it a pop-up gallery! Chances are very good that you'll say, I never knew that so-and-so was an ARTIST...

It's all about opening new doors, letting breaths of fresh air blow through, and singing -- along with Ashley Filip, of course -- as we go!
