Sunday Supper - June 5
with guest: Victoria Lemos, Host of Archive Atlanta Podcast
Sunday Suppers are casual gatherings where new ideas and stimulating conversation are the main fare. The guest speaker leads an informal discussion based on their work or topic of interest. Reservations are open to current Harvard Club of Georgia members and their guests on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendance is limited to 12 people so that the conversation is more personal and happens around the dinner table.
NEW FORMAT: The dinners will be Pot-luck, so please bring a dish that you like that will feed a dozen guests. The June dinner will be at the home of Deni-Kay Freier (Buckhead). We will have 12 club members (in addition to the guest speaker).
If you are interested in hosting a Sunday Dinner, please contact Robert ( firstname.lastname@example.org )
You must be fully immunized against Covid to attend.
COST: Free, but you must register in advance.
RSVP: Open to first 12 HCG members
SPEAKER: Vicoria Lemos, Host of Archive Atlanta Podcast
Meet Victoria Lemos
Victoria Lemos is the voice, sweat and tears behind Archive Atlanta. A weekly history podcast sharing the stories of the people, places and events that have made Atlanta what it is. Born in NYC to immigrant parents, I've called Atlanta home for the last 16 years. I began as a volunteer tour guide, then became a bicycle tour guide and now do private walking tours and independent research for individuals, institutions and corporations.
Whether you call it hopeful or naïve, my goal is to share Atlanta’s amazing history with the most people possible, because you can’t care about something you don't know about. In a city that was born from the ashes, we don’t prioritize preservation or the past, but together we can change that. I truly believe knowing about the past helps us all be better humans in the present and future."
