Mindful Wine Tasting

A Hypothesis' with Cathy Huyghe and Grace Gu

The HBS Club of Atlanta and the Harvard Club of Georgia invite you to experience a unique approach to wine tasting.

Can a memorable wine open up our senses, imaginations and mental focus to the present moment - in short, encourage a state of mindfulness?

Conversely, when our minds are quiet and still, are we able to better identify and appreciate the aromas and nuances in the glass?

Join Cathy and Grace in exploring and experimenting with the complementaries (and, dare we say, synergies?) between their two favorite worlds: wine and meditation. This experience will introduce practices such as breathwork, guided meditation, and blind tasting - but lean heavily on light heartedness and the opportunity to wind down, socialize and have fun.

Facilitators: Award-winning wine journalist, author, entrepreneur and certified mindfulness meditation teacher Cathy Huyghe (AM '04, ALM '10) and anthropologist, organizational consultant, yoga/breathwork/meditation coach and WSET Diploma Level-trained wine enthusiast Grace Gu (AB ’09).
