With Guests: Daniel Pollock - Retired Epidemiologist and an Essayist on Atlanta's Civil War History

Sunday Suppers are casual gatherings where new ideas and stimulating conversation are the main fare. The guest speaker leads an informal discussion based on their work or topic of interest. Reservations are open to current Harvard Club of Georgia members and Harvard Business School Club of Atlanta their guests on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendance is limited to 12 people so that the conversation is more personal and happens around the dinner table. The dinners are Pot-luck, so please bring a dish that you can share. The potluck dinner will be held at the home of Rober Hahn from 6pm to 9pm on Sunday, May 31, 2026. This event will feature a brief presentation by Daniel Pollock and a potluck dinner and conversation will follow.

Daniel Pollock is a native Chicagoan who has lived in Atlanta with his wife Sally West since 1984.  A longtime CDC epidemiologist who retired from the agency in 2021, Daniel also has a longstanding interest in Atlanta history.  He has led over 200 local history tours since the early 1990s, with a primary focus on Atlanta and the Civil War.  His published works includes essays about the Battle of Atlanta and the Cyclorama  painting of the battle, now displayed at the Atlanta history center:
