Sunday Supper - july 31 (6-9PM)
with guest: Robert Hahn, Artist
Sunday Suppers are casual gatherings where new ideas and stimulating conversation are the main fare. The guest speaker leads an informal discussion based on their work or topic of interest. Reservations are open to current Harvard Club of Georgia members and their guests on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendance is limited to 12 people so that the conversation is more personal and happens around the dinner table.
The dinners are Pot-luck, so please bring a dish that you like that you can share. The July dinner will be at the home of Rober Hahn. We will have 12 club members (in addition to the guest speaker).
If you are interested in hosting a Sunday Dinner, please contact Robert ( rahahn5@gmail.com )
You must be fully immunized against Covid to attend.
COST: Free, but you must register in advance.
RSVP: Open to first 12 HCG members

Guest topic: Robert’s Art
The organizer of Sunday Supper events has offered to share his creations with the local Harvard Community. Robert likes making things and has done so in several media for decades. He makes wire sculptures, devices that create or display light, and he is a photographer. Some of his creations are displayed on the walls of his home and he will give the guests a personal tour.
Robert is an anthropologist and epidemiologist. In 2020, he retired after 34 years at the CDC, where he conducted research on many topics. He is the author of two books, Sickness and Healing; An Anthropological Perspective, and Anthropology and Public Health; Bridging Differences in Culture and Society and more than 250 articles. He is a relentless student, and continues to conduct research on social causes of injustice and on philosophical issues.
Robert launched the Harvard Club of Georgia Book Club (very active), a Race Working Group (defunct), and the Sunday Dinner Club (recently resuscitated after a break from Covid).
