Sunday Supper - October 20 (6-9PM)

Sunday Suppers are casual gatherings where new ideas and stimulating conversation are the main fare. The guest speaker leads an informal discussion based on their work or topic of interest. Reservations are open to current Harvard Club of Georgia members and Harvard Business School Club of Atlanta their guests on a first-come, first-served basis.
Attendance is limited to 12 people so that the conversation is more personal and happens around the dinner table.
The dinners are Pot-luck, so please bring a dish that you like that you can share. The October dinner location will be at the home of Swapan Kumar.

For October we are having a special supper with 2 guests, a husband and wife power duo who are instrumental in driving change in Atlanta!
Courtney English is the Senior Advisor to Atlanta Mayor, Andre Dickens, and Chief Policy Officer for the city of Atlanta. His policy portfolio includes some of Atlanta’s most pressing challenges, including affordable housing, economic development, youth engagement, neighborhood revitalization, and closing Atlanta's long-standing equity gaps. Courtney was the youngest Chairman in the history of the Atlanta Board of Education and currently serves on the boards of the Westside Future Fund, Star-C, Greenlight Fund, and the Fort MacPherson Redevelopment Authority.
An Atlanta native, English is a former classroom teacher who earned his BA degree in political science from Morehouse College and a MA degree from Columbia University.
Kelly Beaty English is a dynamic and innovative communications strategist with a track record of mobilizing people and driving organizational change. As Chief of Staff for Atlanta Housing, Georgia’s largest housing authority and one of the largest in the nation, Kelly oversees internal and external communications, partnerships, and the transformation of organizational culture. Prior to Atlanta Housing, Kelly served as the Director of Leadership Communications for The Coca-Cola Company, Director of Strategic Engagement for the City of Atlanta under Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, andVice President of Marketing and Communications for Dress
for Success Worldwide in New York. Kelly also founded a communications consultancy focused on tailored messaging and public engagement strategy for women-led or women and girls-focused organizations.
Kelly holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Spelman College, where she later returned as an instructor of Leadership and Public Speaking courses. She earned her Master of Arts in Public Communication from American University in Washington, DC.
